Beaune (pronounced bone rhymes with Saone)

After leaving Cluny, we drove East to rejoin the wine road heading North to Beaune.
This is a very beautiful tourist city. We took the Petit Train all around.
This used to be a convent but now it's the city hall.

The little train drove us out into the vineyards.

This is the Hotel de Dieu. A very wealthy nobleman and his wife about 1450 as a result of the 100 Year War decided to build a hospital for the poor.
This is it.
This is the closed triptych.
This is the pharmacy.
These are the beds. There are 40 of them.
This is the kitchen. Nuns ran the entire hospital.
This is the choir.
The city wall.
The gift shop.
