The End of the Line..........................

After Yellowstone, our itinerary was as follows: nights spent in Gardiner, MT, Cheyenne, WY, Omaha, NE and St. Louis, MO. We really enjoyed Omaha and I highly recommend a visit.

We visited both of our grandchildren. This is our grandson Luke who lives in Athens, GA. We took these photos at the Founders Garden on the North end of campus. Luke likes to visit with us here whenever we come to town.

Here are the three generations.

When we visited Walker in Atlanta I gave Julia this sweater I had made for her on our trip. She likes it a lot.

Now we are back on Tybee and I won't be posting very often. I'll send you a heads up when we decide where the next adventure will be for
Ed and Janet. Take care everyone! Bye for now.

Yellowstone.....................

First, let me say, I am writing this for people who have never been to Yellowstone. If you've been there, this will all be redundant for you.

When your car first pulls in to Yellowstone you encounter a traffic jam. Then you realize that the traffic jam is being caused by people photographing the herd of deer who live on the front lawn in front of the first group of buildings.

We had no idea what to expect but soon realized that we were about to encounter many breathtaking sights. There will be many waterfalls.

This is the Yellowstone River.

Then we began to encounter the moonscape that surrounds the geysers. This is Old Faithful. It only erupts every 90 minutes so don't take your eyes off of it.

This is what it looks like around the geysers.

This must be a geologist's heaven.

Grand Geyser erupting.

This is the lodge at the Geysers. There are at least 6 different villages in the park so many, many people can be accommodated.

This is the dining room.

Another waterfall.

The buffalo are not afraid of people but the people are supposed to stay away from them. However, people don't obey this admonition.

This is a huge lake created by the Yellowstone River.

This is a huge traffic jam caused by that buffalo that is in the road. People just stop. Don't think you're going to whiz through this park.

Then there's stuff that looks like this.

It's very beautiful.
