Arles

We had a rough day getting to Arles what with lunch in Nimes and then traveling to the Pont du Gard but then when we got to Arles the final straw was that we couldn't take our car to our hotel because "there was no driving."
Eventually we got it all squared away and were able to begin to enjoy this magical place.
This guy kept playing Edith Piaf.  Rien de rien de rien.
You see how there are no cars?  That is what we drove through with our car.

Paella for 6.50€.
This was the Saturday morning market.
This is the city hall.
This is inside the subterranean gallery where it was at least cool.
This is their arena.

This is the mouth of the Rhone.  Arles is where Cotes du Rhone comes from.
This was lunch where the fan sprays cold mist.  Below is our swimming pool.
