Day 1 in Portland

The clematis are huge here as are the rhododendrons.

The dining room in our apt.

The living room.

This Victorian is next door to our bldg. We are living in Irvington, an historic suburb just across the river from downtown. It is very beautiful.

This is the central downtown square. The week we are here is Rose Festival. It is appropriate that Oregon celebrate flowers. Everything grows here in abundance and profusion.

While walking thru the Pearl District, we came upon the Culinary Institute. The students produce a 3-course lunch for $12 per person. How could we pass that up? The presentations were beautiful and the food was very good.

I would love to rearrange these photos to put them in order, but I haven't figured that part out yet.

This is our apt. building. We have 1/2 of the ground floor.
