At one time there were 1 million Puerto Ricans in NYC. Many of them have left, but there were still enough left to ensure that no one could cross Fifth Avenue during their parade. There are 70 mounted police in NYC and it looked as tho' all of them were on duty today.
We couldn't believe the number of police officers that were involved in the parade and the work in erecting the barricades. That parade cost the city of New York a lot of money.(this is from Ed)
