The first place we went on Monday was B&H Electronics (at 9th Ave. & 34th Street). This is my new favorite place in NYC. It has the most extensive and best prices on everything from telescopes to film making equipment. It is run by Hasidic Jews but they also employ anyone who is knowledgeable about their products. We were in the binocular department and there, upgrading her bioculars, was Christine Baransky. Ed wanted me to take a picture of her but I thought that would have been too tacky. She was very intensely interacting with the clerk to get the perfect pair of binoculars. I couldn't figure out if she is going on safari or just to a Yankees game. Here is a view of the store.
