A Walk Down N. Michigan Avenue (also known as The Magnificent Mile)

This is the Wrigley Building.  They keep it clean to remind you of a stick of white chewing gum.

This is a detail of the bas relief on the bridge in the picture above.

Across the street is the Chicago Tribune building which was inspired by a French gothic cathedral.

See how the Wrigley Building sits right on the Chicago River.

Just one of the many well-manicured plazas.  Still cold but not for long!

This is the water tower; one of two buildings to survive the Chicago fire in 1871.  Along this stretch of street are branches of every important high end store there is.  Also, Neiman Marcus, Saks, etc.  It's all right here!!!

This is Water Tower Place built by Donald Trump right next to the original tower.  This is a high rise shopping mall that is absolutely fabulous.  If you ever get a chance, stop at the food court on the Mezzanine for lunch.  Fabulous, I swear.

Walking into the Drake, another great hotel.

Approaching the restaurant in the Drake.

This is the Prudential Tower.  There is an observation deck on the 96th floor but they want about $35 a head to go up.  We are pondering spending the $$.
