Granada I

We took Vueling Airlines from Barcelona to Granada.  It was great.  One hour, then a bus to take us to town, then a taxi to our hotel.  Here we are in the South.

We toured their cathedral.  It was huge and covered in stained glass and gold.

This is the restaurant where we ate dinner.  Beginning to sense the Moorish theme?

The inside of the Alhambra.  8500 people go thru every day but it is not noticeable because entries are timed.

The Alhambra is very important in landscape architecture.  I've been waiting to see it for a long time.  It did not disappoint.

This is the Court of the Lions.

The Court of the Myrtles.

This is where Christians got the idea for a cloister.

Their use of water was copied by the Italians during the Renaissance.
