Bordeaux

Bordeaux is an incredibly walkable city. This wide river is the Garonne and Bordeaux is an important port. During WWII this was Vichy France and so no fighting or bombing here.

We are told that Bordeaux transformed itself by adding fountains and walkways along the river, etc   It's very lovely and also great shopping.
