This is the Lan Su Chinese Garden. It was created in 1999. Portland decided they needed a Chinese Garden.
We had a docent give us a tour and we learned a lot of esoterica. Nice place and tour.
The market is huge and each merchant must be present to discuss the wares created by themselves. I must say "been there, done that". The same jewelry creators, wood carvers, etc. we see in all markets.
But here they add the river and music which makes it very festive.
