Barcelona

Barcelona is magical and I wanted Ed to see it. I had been there 6 years ago.  This is a Gaudi building on the "Street of Discord."

From there I took Ed to the Sagrada Familia.  He was blown away.

There will eventually be 12 towers for the 12 disciples.  They've been working on it for 100 years and they expect it will take another 150.

This is the square at the center of town at the top of the Ramblas (which means The Ramble).

At the bottom of the Ramblas is the statue to Christopher Columbus.  This is where he took off for the discovery of America.

This is their bullring which they have turned into a shopping mall because in Catalonia, they have outlawed bullfighting.  It is legal in the rest of Spain.

This is the outside of the Olympic Stadium on the top of Mount Juif.  In 1996 the Olympics were in Barcelona.

Mitch and Walker gave us a private guide for 4 hours as a birthday present.  She guided us thru the Picasso Museum and the Old Town.

She took us to the ultimate ham shop.  Those hams cost 150 euros a piece!

This is in the Gaudi apartment building built in the 1900s.
