Place des Vosges

Our days are ending here. It was important that we walk down the street to this park. 

This is where Victor Hugo lived and this months is some major anniversary hence the roses. 

Down day

So Eds sister left this morning and we slept til

Noon went out had lunch and came back and rested again. However we did go out to dinner. Here are the pix. Also I want to mention that a screwy thing is happening between the iPhone and iPad. Pix get cut off on the iPad but if you double click sometimes it works. I welcome feedback. 

This restaurant is called Bofinger. Quite elegant but nice. 

This is the Place de Bastille where the 1789 Revolution started. Just down the street from our apt. It was a prison but they tore it down. 

The Pantheon and Musee D'Orsay

These 4 people were heroes of the Resistence. They just got in. This is where all the French heroes are buried including Voltaire and Rousseau.

Montmartre.

So here's what we did today. We journeyed up to Sacre Coeur and walked around and had lunch. 

We came home and did our laundry. 

Then we went to dinner at this place that was in the NYTimes. It lived up to its reputation. It was great and we will return. Ed had this incredible ravioli with Parmesan sauce. And also marrow bones.

The Louvre

So here's the deal:  we bought a tourist pass that we had only 6 days to see everything and we tried but today was the end of the 6 days. So now we are free!

We took a private tour of the great masterpieces with a guide. It was great. We could hear; it took 1 1/2 hrs; and we were finished!

Sainte Chapelle and Notre Dame

What happened today was that the temperature got to 91F.  But then after dinner the temp dropped down into the 70s.
